This is to hook up your halo headlights up so you have a separate switch. The idea is so you can have your halos on without your main headlights.
READ over the entire instructions before proceeding. I am not responsible if anything goes wrong, this is just how I did it.
Things needed: (*= not necessary but recommended)
Matching gauge wire to the wire coming out of your headlights,
A switch,
Wire strippers and cutters,
Wire connectors,
*Electric tape,
Wire connectors with an O shaped end,
*Heat shrink,
Wire connectors with a slip-on end dependingon your switch,
*Zip ties,
Fuse and fuse holder (I used a 5 amp and it works great no problems after 2 months),
*Hair dryer or heat gun ifusing heat shrink,
Pliers,
Screw driver.
1) Let your car cool down if you've been driving it because your engine will still be hot.
2) Disconnect your - Negative end of your battery followed by the + Positive.
3) Connect one end of the 2 wires coming out of the back of the headlight to another wire or if it is long enough directly to ground by putting on a wire connector with the O shaped end and put in on the screw like a washer, I used the fender screws pictured here. The wires coming out of the headlight are not specific you can use either one for ground or power.
4) Repeat step 3 to the other side.
5) Connect the other wire coming out of the headlight up the engine bay through a grommet and into the dash. I used an empty spot next to the cruise control button. This is a picture of the inside of the grommet hole located behind the front drivers tire.
This is the switch i used, over the top I think not.
To get to the spot where I popped out the plastic piece you have to take out this screw.
This is the connection on the back of the switch.
6) Repeat step 6 on the other side and connect the two wires together and connect them to the switch.
7) Connect a wire coming out of the switch out the grommet and connect it to the fuse holder. I just taped the fuse and fuse holder to the side of the fuse box (seemed to make sense.)
8) Connect another wire coming out of the other end of the fuse to the battery.
9) Nows the point where I went back and heat shrunk all my connectors, zip tied all my lines and double checked all grounds and connections.
10) Finally reconnect your battery.
