Alright, here's a small update.

Head is still at the shop. He got backed up but will be pressure testing the head Monday-ish.

Here's how I've figured the y8 intake manifold issue will work. (Thanks for the link Tiran. Here's another one you might find helpful too. http://www.d-series.org/forums/engin...swap-pics.html)

I have a bare y8 intake manifold from the junk yard. I'll be using the y7 fuel rail because apparently they are identical to the y8 rails. I'll be using the y7 throttle body as well. Here's where the issue is: The y7 is from an auto for one, and for two, the throttle body rotor is backwards. So I'll have to swap the rotor from the spare z6 manual TB over to the y7 and hope it works. The z6 one is oriented like the y8 is. I hope they're the same. As such, I'll be using a y7 TB gasket to mate it to the y8 manifold.

I'll have to see if the y7 throttle cable bracket is the same as the y8. I would think not but I hope so. Otherwise I'll have to fabricate something. I did score a y8 throttle cable too so I'll likely use that for the "better throttle response" that is rumored to exist with this cable.

Stupid question: Does cruise control work with a manual tranny? I would think not. If not, I'm gonna remove my cruise control and put it on my sister's DX.

Yes, CC works in a 5spd. I used to have it, but it is now removed.

^ I took mine out too. Cruise control on 5 spd is pretty much just a cable that holds the pedal where it is.

I went to their site and they look to be legit good products, not too expensive and look like they work good. Nice site too, has everything about install and adjustment and stuff. Looks like a trustworthy brand.

You should try and find an electronic boost controller http://www.procivic.com/pages-produc...671/index.html. Expensive new but a used one wouldn't be too bad.. A lot better imo, adjust in from in the car and with GReddy you can program limits and wanrings and stuff, pretty sweet.

I really have two projects going on here so I split the thread into an appearance thread and a boost project thread.
