Default blow off valve on NON-TURBO?

just wondering, can you put a blow off valve on a non turbo'd engine? I use to have a turbo'd eclipse and I miss the blow off valve sound. Do you NEED a turbo to have a blow off valve? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

you can get one, but everyone will laugh at you. and it depends on the blowoff valve itself as to the sound it makes.

Stock turbo setups can have a waste gate and/or programming in the ECU to cut the fuel if the boost reaches a dangerous level, instead of a blowoff valve.

Yeah I think they sell something like that on ebay. And then you can get a fake intercooler too, lol. Don't get one, seriously, everyone WILL make fun of u. It's one of the riciest things to do to ur car. Save the bucks and get a real turbo.

All turbocharged cars have wastegates.
