trim?
Ok so i am planning on painting my trim on my civic.(it's currently black and i want it red to match my car) If i take the trim off the car will it be warped? Will it even be possible to put it back on?
if you take it off it will be warped but its kind of like a rubber material and while going back on it will fit perfect again, with civics i believe there are clips behind them, if i remember correctly, someone on her might have a diagram of which way they more easily come off but if not, just lightly pry with a clip puller or a screwdriver and after the first clip comes out look at it to see which was would come out the easiest for the rest, if you break any you should get some new ones or the trim will want to bend off the body.
Its really easy just start with the little piece on the quarter panel and you'l see how the pieces come off. Or better yet shave the sobs, I hate trim. The civic would look so much cleaner w/o the trim, but thats just my 2 cents
the easiest way to take them off and make sure that you don't chip that paint is pushing them out from the inside.
Reach behind the front inner fender well and push out the clips from the inside to get the front small ones. Take off the inside door panel to get to the clips for the one on the door. and pull off the panel on the side of the rear sear at the front door jam to reach the rear trim.
the rear ones are a pretty big pain to do this way but I feel that its the best way to make sure you don'tchip the paint
