Default help wiring

hey guys i need some help. where can i find a guide to taking my car apart, or a guide to wiring a sound system. I have a '96 Honda Civic 2 Door Coupe DX. I know how to take the center console out, it's just getting the power wire from the battery to inside the car, and then under the center console. Another problem i would have is getting the wires from the center console under my back seats and then to the trunk. Any suggestions and help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Haynes or Chilton at autozone, napa, Pep Boys, Kragen. most parts stores carry them.

sacicons, i appreciate your help. Although, as this is a Civic forum, I expected more opinions/suggestions.

You just need to run them under the carpet along the sides. It would take me an hour to tell you how to take it all apart.

Use the gromment right below the battery. pull the running boards and tuck the wires in the carpet. Pull out the back seat and shove the wires into the trunk. viola.

the sill panels under the doors is the perfect place to run the wires. But make sure you run your RCA cables on the oposite side of the car away from the power wire. this will help keep put sound noise and interference. remember to keep your fuse out of the line until your entire system is connected to keep from arching the power wire on anything. If you got any other questions let me know. Frizz

this is only nessecery to do if you are running to an amp for all your mids and highs. If it is for bass you will be wasting your time.

ummm.....i guess i came across as a super newbie, i have my wires running under the door lining right now. I'm not satisfied with this because i'm being picky. Im going to run them completely under the carpet under the center console. Right now i have the power wires running through the crack in the door.

what about cables? power, ground, rca's, etc. Buy them seperately? Which rca's are best to use, custom?
