Default Front LCA bushings - are both bushings the same?

Hi

I'm replacing a decayed bushing in the front lower control arm of my '94 1.6 Esi Auto. I've managed to remove the LCA and get the old bushing out following the instructions in reaper2022's thread here:https://www.hondacivicforum.com/foru...ad.php?t=54835

Unfortunately I can't get the new bushing in and am starting to suspect it may not be the right one. It looks identical to the other bushing (further from the centre of the car) that is still in the LCA.

Can anyone confirm whether the two bushings should be the same, or different?

If they are the same - meaning I have the right one, any tips on how to get the new bushing in? I've tried putting it in the freezer for an hour, but is still doesn't seem like it will ever go in.

LCA and replacement bush pictured in attachment.

Thaks

bushings take ALOT of pressure to instal them... at least the stockers so if you dont have a press then i would sugest taking the LCA and bushing to a shop and having them press the new bushing in! if the bushing is not perfectly straight and hit perfectly in the center the bushing wont be straight and it will not go in!
its built VERY TIGHT!!!!!!!!

Ok thanks, I will try to find a mechanic to press it in for me, and maybe replace the other one at the same time.

Is it going to be any sort of problem to have brand new bushings on one side of the car and old ones on the other? Will this adversely affect handling?

unless the other side is going bad it should be fine....

i had to replace both side bushings on my front struts mount on my old EG since they where both pretty tore up and started poping around...

Just for reference - it turns out that the bush that I needed to replace - where the LCA attaches to the chasis is a different size from the bush where the LCA connects to the strut fork.
