What size is the rear bearing hub assembly NUT? It's for a '97 DX HB.

Anyone???? Getting ready to do rear brakes and I know I do not have the correct size socket for the rear hub nut. If anyone happens to know off the top of their head, I'd appreciate it.

OK. I gave it a month and no replies. I guess no one here has worked on rear drum brakes here.
I tried. Thanks anyway. [>:]

I should be able to help you in a couple of days when i can get a hold of AllData at school. But i've seen my friend work on the drums on his nissan, he didn't take out the hub if i remember correctly.

It says 22 x 1.5mm. If you need the full diagram for the rear hub or anything else really, i can provide it upon request.

Edit: That is for the SPINDLE NUT. Hope it helps.

Thank you very much, Agent. It does help. Most cars you don't have to remove anything to service the drum brakes, except the drum of course. It makes it easier to remove and install the brake shoes when the hub is out of the way. Maybe I should do a disc conversion in the future. Hmmm...

Just as a little side note. When i was changing the axle, the service manual said that it was 22mm, but i ended up having to buy 32mm to take the axle nut off. It might not be the same case, maybe i had the wrong service manual or something, but thats just my experiance. I got this information from AllData, not a service manual however.
