New member and first time Honda owner (besides my little XR 80 in 98).
Anyway Ive read through the threads on here of others getting stuck in park and noticed a lot of brake light/fuse issues. I bought this civ with 117k on it and drove it around for probably 100 miles and it ran and shifted fine. Changed plugs oil and air filter drove it around some more, parked it and about 30 minutes later tried to drive and was stuck in park. I released it manually and drove away. After getting on the road I noticed it not wanting to shift (2-3). Revs went to about 4500 and when i eased off pedal it kicked in to third, but with a nice hard kick and never did get into 4th. Got home and checked all fuses a brake lights and all checked out ok.
Parked the car overnight and next morning it shifted out of park fine and shifted fine for about a 10 mile drive to work. Got to work put it in park and tried to take iot out of park to see if i was that lucky and it was stuck......any ideas?????

 

Automatic by the way, im sure you could have connected the dots but....
