Hello.

I am glad I have found your group but you may regret it as I maybe asking many questions about my Civic.

I recently purchased a 1985 Civic Shuttle which I think in the USA is called a Wagon. It has a 1488cc engine with a Auto box.

How do you use such a box.

It has Gear position 1. a * position & a OD position.

The owner I brought it from said pull away in * postion then when moving along put it in OD . Only use 1 when pulling away on hills or loaded.

Is that correct.

Many thanks

Phil

Position 1 will be your "low" gear for hills and towing.
Position * will be your "drive" for normal driving.
OD is "overdrive", place it into OD once you get up to speed on the highway to save on fuel (not for city driving).
