My husband bought me a 95 Honda Civic EX Coupe. It has a 1.6L Vtech with an automatic transmission. I know, I know, it would be better as a manual. The conversion is coming, just can't afford it. Anyway. It was making noise in the front end. Now, my husband has replaced EVERYTHING in the front end just to find that the tranny was the problem the whole time. IT'S BAD!So I searched for a replacement and actually found one. Here's the thing. I know the donor car is the same year, make, model and had a vtech. However, I was unable to find out if the motor was a 1.5L or a 1.6L as the guy had already sold the motor. I like to know things and my husband didn't explain to me why this would matter so I guess my question is, would I still be able to use the auto transmission from a 1.5L in with my 1.6L and, if not, why? I would really appreciate an explanation as I would like to be educated about the car I'm driving. Thank you!
