Default Honda indy F1 motor

ok before you start laughing read the whole thing.....has anyone ever thought about trying to get ahold of a honda F1 motor? im sitting in class and wondering how fast my car would be with an F1 motor...? and lets just say that i could get ahold of one, the swap would be a b**** but think about how fast that civic would be! LOL. It cant hurt to try and find one can it?

What are the specs on an F1 motor.


BTW, I would assume youd be coming out of pocket near 100k for one.

Hell, if you're going to be in the 100k range may as well get an NSX and stick it in the back of that. Good luck getting gas for it, maintaining it, passing emissions with it, starting it, etc. I'd buy a ticket to where ever you are and ride shotty though.

and at least 2x as much for insurance if decide to get it. If i ever did that, your damn right i'd get full coverage! I don't want anyone stealing my 3.5 second civic! And i fthey decided to, you'll bet they're gonna take it in the ass!!!!

why not just cram a nsx enigine in thats the closet we will ever see on the street and somewhat achieavable

Very true. Ive seen an NSX motor in a CIvic before so it can be done. I would also bet it wouldnt be cheap.
