Default y7 bottom end with y8/z6 head

i have a d16y7 with 110k miles on it....i was thinkin about swappin for a B-series but im gonna rock the D and possibly boost later down the road....to my question....are d16y7 bottom ends strong?? i wanted to do a mini-me swap with a y8 or z6 head...is this a good idea?...and im also converting my car to manual from auto, will it be better to get a tranny 1st? or does it really matter which of the 2 i do 1st? and also.....should this be just a complete drop in with either head? or do you have any suggestions with parts that i should maybe upgrade etc.? thanks everyone

why do you wanna do the tranny swap? most honda owners would kill for an auto to manual swap. and usually manual to auto is a lot tougher than auto to manual.
