Default Nintendo Revolution

This looks pretty freaking awesome. I want to try it first before I get it, just in case it sucks. Very good idea though.

looks like your arm would get tired of waving that thing around. I'd rather have a standard thumbs and index fingers controller.

I ws gonna say the same thing. I get sick of holding the remote up when I am channel surfing, let alone a gaming session.

Nintendo has such a weak hold on teh gaming industry its not even funny. I think nintendo's days of dominating the gaming industry are all but over, especially after wat happend to Nintedo GameCube. And teh remote thing is pretty stupid, gimme a regular controller (not that i was ever a fan of 64 or cube anyway)

I still have my Super NES to this day, along with several classic games. I had an N64 for a year or two but I ended up selling it. I think I only had about 5 or 6 games for it during all that time. R.I.P. Nintendo consoles. Nintendo portables are still alive and well however, and they are the market leader in that segment without a doubt. Sony is challenging with the PSP but that thing is really not even in the same market segment as Gameboy/Advance/SP/Micro.

That's my two cents on the gaming industry

Another example: You're playing a first person shooter (perhaps the latest "Metroid" game). The controller would act as a virtual pistol in your hand, letting you point at and shoot objects on screen, using that aforementioned trigger button near your index finger.
That is pretty much the only cool part. I don't play a lot of first person shooters, but on rare occasions when my friends want me to play, i friggin suck at aiming. Lets use Halo for example, you gotta use both joy sticks to get the aimer right, and for the life of me, i can't do it. I can shred the crap out of a guitar, but my fingers refuse to aim a god damn video game gun. So, being able to just point and shoot would be awesome for me. I don't play nearly enough video games to have a say in the matter tho.

Nintendo will never fade off. you just outgrow it. Most of the games are for little kids, thats why it seems like every new one is getting dumber and dumber, but its actually us, getting older.
