Default Waxing issues

Hi,

Well I just waxed my car for the first time. I used a simoniz orbital buffer with Turtle wax platinum. I noticed while I was doing it the simoniz instructions say to put it on with there cloth applicator and remove with the foam pad. Well the foam pad took it off well but i noticed little white flecks flet behind. I think its the wax that has been taken off by the foam and just flicked on the car. I used a cotten polishing pad to wipe them off and the finish looks great. Just wondering if thats actually what the white flecks are. Im 99.9% its not the clear coat or anything coming off.

Thanks
Jeff

I doubt if it would be the clear coat coming off.

yeah thats just the dried wax that just didnt stick to the cloth or pad u used to take it off. It does that all the time. I always go back and rebuff everything after i get the wax off. Like you did. So dont worry its normal

yup. mine does that too. i usually hand buff and then use a power buffer to get that crap off. and if that doesnt work an 80mph drive seems to help.

i was just wondering, how exactly do you buff by hand? is it pretty much just wiping it with a soft/microfiber cloth until it's shiney and pretty?

- elbow grease and a supersoft terry towel or chamois

oh ok, so it's pretty much just continuing to wipe the area with a soft cloth? sounds simple! thanks!
