Hey. I'm new to this forum. What's up everyone? I drive a Honda Civic Hatchback. I don't really like my civic. I think it's fugly! I don't have any pictures as of yet.

why do you say its fugly? is it a styling dislike/ or a problem specific to your civic? (flaking paint, dents, etc?)

No, it's rarest honda civic color (midori green) which is VERY ugly in color to me. It's fugly b/c I hate hatchbacks. No it's not all flakey...it's only got 44,102 miles on it. Yeah I have done some stuff to it already. It's a 96 Hatchback. It's a stylish thing...the color is ugly and it being a hatchback..is very unatractive in my opinion~

Um. Tires/rim, system, cd player, tinted window, dual halo angel eye projectors w/ piaa extreme white plus bulbs/ car sercuirty alarm system. Did have springs on, took them off, want coilovers.

My parents bought it without my permission they won't buy me what i want b/c of insurance reasons. And, not many people like the color *UNLESS* they are honda people no, im not here for trouble... i have a civic, i've done stuff to it, that does NOT mean i like it....

I have never really been a fan of hatchbacks. The only hatchback I ever liked was my buddys 86 CRX. Really sweet car. Althought your car has a lot of potential and its a honda :)

My opinion. If your going to toss around your two cents about how ugly you think civics are, be prepared to hear the same thing back about cars you might like. Thats what forums are about, sharing opinoins.

Just bought '98 Civic LX w/73K. This will be mostly used by my son who is just getting his license. Car is in excellent shape and I intend to keep it stock. My question is "Is there a forum here where an average guy can talk normal upkeep". I have nothing against tuning; I just want to keep this Civic running until i can pay it off! I have another teen coming along who will also be learning to drive in a few short years. I am hoping to use the same car. If anyone can suggest a forum, I would be most grateful. Its pointless to do it now, because in about a month i'll be returning the car to 75% stock. Next spring/early summer is when it will really start to get beefed up. So you just go ahead and sit tight till then

Yeah i know that the first. But since you don't do exterior...and you do everything under the hood.........you might wanna add exterior after your done breakin the bank to make your car go fast, so it looks like it has something nice on the outside.

haha, for sure! But seriously, yes, IMHO its pointless to do exterior mods now. When my car is putting down some respectable numbers (*and bear in mind that this is, and always will be my daily driver, so i wont be going too far over the top with power) then and Only then will i go all out on the outside. I may purchase a front lip, and paint the stock side skirts. But other that that, and lowering the car, the "look" of my car will not change, and thats exactly how i like it

look at the long term reviews. that speaks alot about why we prefer our civics. let alone Mustangs are too heavy, underpowered, and expensive to own. yeah, i know youre going to laugh at a civic guy saying a mustang is underpowered, but ill take on your GT anytime. and all said and done, i have about 1/3 of the cost of a new GT in my 95 civic. and that includes a decent stereo system, all my motor work, and my suspension and brake upgrades. so even with more power, a mustang (sports car) would have a really hard time hanging with my civic (economy car) around a road course. oh, and i still get about 26-30 mpg driving hard. and my insurance is less than $100 bucks a month.

Oh I'm aware nothing last longer then a honda. I know mustangs sometimes have problems off the factory line...still like mustangs, sorry. Will take one over a civic any day.

You're my favorite;) But seriously, my girlfreind thinks i'm crazy because i actually ENJOY spending 3-4+ hours washing and shining my car every chance i get. :D I just shrug my shoulders and keep waxing. Like you said, a good deap shiney paintjob attracts just as many people as a body kit. And the way i look at it, body kits and wings draw the wrong kind of attention, thieves, ricers...etc.
