Default D17A1 vs D17A2 question

do the A2 headers fit on the A1?... i haven't looked at an A2 so i have no idea if this question is dumb or not... i was just wondering if i could buy an A2 header and a high flow cat and make all of that work... is that possible or am i a total retard?

The A2 won't fit the A1. A2 is the EX and has a different exhaust set up than the LX/DX A1. You can convert to an entire EX system, but since you already have exhaust work done, you probably wouldn't want to do that. Kamikaze makes a header for the 01+ LX/DX, so at least you have another option. Good Luck!

the only difference is cat placement. if you wanted to sell your barola exhaust and get a D17A2 exhaust then you could get a header too.

it's very possible to do that and it's exactly what i did to my civic. i put some performance headers that would normally be on an ex on my lx and I just needed to get a donut gasket that fitted at the end of the downpipe. (You could put an ex catalytic converetor on it but i didn't - it's straight flow) i then put a catback magnaflow on it and it kicks now with all the new exhaust flow.
