hey guys i'm a newbie but i'm tryin to get my feet wet. I found a 2000 Civic Si with 55,000 miles on it, for sale for about $13,800. The body is in good condition, it has a tanabe cat back exhuast, AEM CAI, DC-Sports headers, AEM fuel pressure regulater, some unknown brand rims with new tires and some other small goodies. The rear bumper has paint chipping on it so i know that it was in some sort of fender bender in the rear and they didnt paint it good and on the front i know that the hood and bumper were repainted so that leads me to believe that it was in a bang up from the front also. I'm just curious if this is a good deal or not. My buddy drove it and said that the clutch was in good condition, the car looks great and i really want to get it. Any feedback would be great.

sounds a little high priced, but sounds like a sweet car. try offering lower.

that's way too high imho for a modded civic si...$7k-$8k max, he'll probably say no, just keep looking around for a stock si.

Too much money. The previous owner probably beat the crap out of that engine.

Correct. Tell the dude you will give him 8K for it. Considering it has some performance parts on it you should be aware that the dude probably beat the hell out of it. Make sure if you do buy it that you get the car asap, because im sure the kid will take it out for "One last drive" before he sells it, and he wont be going too easy on the car at that time.
