RE: Ceramic Vs. Stainless Steel
why did you post this again?
https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_11633/tm.htm bottom line, ceramic is better performance and stainless looks better Edit: sorry my mistake.. u were asking about chrome before. Stainless and chrome are pretty much the same. they don't perform the same as ceramic in heat isolation. |
RE: Ceramic Vs. Stainless Steel
yeah, ceraminc is usually better. but some of the high quality headers have stainless steel with a ceramic coating inside. in that case they are about the same, but the SS looks cool once it heats up and it turns a lot of colors.

RE: Ceramic Vs. Stainless Steel
even stainless steel/chrome intakes... look good for about a month, then they fade and turn to ****.

RE: Ceramic Vs. Stainless Steel
oh yeah, powdercoated is the only way to go on intakes unless you want to be polishing it all the time.

RE: Ceramic Vs. Stainless Steel
a 2 piece mightbe easier for you to install on your own. but if you have a buddy or 2 aroudn then the 1 piece will be easy too. will run less of a risk of an exhause leak with a 1 piece also

RE: Ceramic Vs. Stainless Steel
yeah, 2 piece is way easier to install. but i like one piece better, less weight and less bolts. i hate those stupid exhaust bolts. and put antisieze compound on exhaust bolts.
