civic gurl-

just take it to autozone....wear a low cut shirt...flirt a little and you are set, wont cost a thing.  they will tell you what code you have flipped.  at least then you will know the severity of the problem.

you actually unplug it, then touch the leads together. After that start it up and let it idle for like 10-15 minutes. It resets the computer and you car relearns everything.

I have a 2001 civic, and mine comes on everyonce in a while because it is programmed to. It does this to tell you when it's been a really long time since you've changed your oil. If you get your oil changed with a professional, than they probably reset the light for you, but if your dad does it like mine does, then that might be the problem. I'm not sure if your model is like that though...Just my thought.
