Don't hate the srt boys because they call on bullsh*t like this.

srt4s are like 215hp stock and a dx is like 110 stock w/ a 75 shot 185 in theory. If by inexperienced you mean he tried to race you using only odd gears.

Hey Bobby, not trying to piss you off, but your numbers just sank you. and they werent quite right.

SRT-4-2900#
215 (seem to dyno higher, more like 225, ill go with that)

civic VP-2456#
115+75= ~190

on my ET calculator (which i know isnt perfect, but its better than uneducated guessing) it puts the SRT-4 at about 14.36 with 2900 pounds and 225hp, and puts the VP at 14.37 with 2456 and 190hp. and if you figure on the civic not having traction problems from launching off the juice, then not having any lag on the juice, that gives it enough of an advantage to make this story at least feasible. sounds like hanging with the 4 is about right.

And the civic will be running about 300,000 miles longer than the good 20k you get out of a srt-4. A kid at my school lost his tranny at 6k. Third went first is what he said. I think he had to shift from 2nd to 4th. He sold it.

certainly not? the et calculator put them within a hundreth(sp?) of a second. and he said it was an inexperienced driver (whatever the hell that means.) i say it would be a drivers race.
