He was probably just "granny shifting, not double clutching like he should." If sacs says it's possible I'll agree.

i have a buddy who just got his srt-4 ACR shipped here(the ACR adds racing seats from a viper, BBS rims(same tires though) and other little bits in the cars that say "ACR"). We just finished installing the stage 2 package, and ill tell you this much.... that car is nuts. at the strip it ran a 12.7. The rest of the time it was low 13's all day.

meh, not surprising at all. I saw some dolt with an EVO on the strip during teh summer - he ran a laughable 15.2sec 1/4. Everybody just laughed at him.

the "viper seats" are available in all SRT4s, not just the ACRs. The ACRs come with adjustable suspension, BBS wheels, and i believe upgraded brakes, but Im sure about the first two items. It is meant to be a road race car, not a drag car.

Road & Track did a dyno run with an SRT-4 and they were pushing WAY more than their advertised horsepower rating. they said they were putting out some 20 horsepower more than claimed.

the editors confronted dodge officials about the horsepower claims, and the dodge officials laughed and said they were underrating their horsepower figures for insurance reasons and to make sure they fell under manufactured horsepower claims. they knew the neons were making way more power.

and mopar sells CRAZY engine upgrade packages for the SRT4 that makes them corvette fighters. Just remember that the next time you pull up next to one.

but if you want to really get underneath SRT-4 owners' skin, just ask them "what's up with the manual roll-up rear windows?"

lol.

Yea the SRT4's are awsome IMO. I can get past the way they look simply because the way they performe. I came close last year at this time to buying one. I got to take the car on a 5 hour test drive by myself and loved it. The way the seats felt, the low end power, and yes the way the car handled are very very nice.
