i haven't had much of a chance to post about this, but i called in sick today and i'm tired of laying in bed, so now i'm playing on the computer. last monday, my boyfriend's 1990 integra ls was stolen. he sold it to a friend, but his friend still owed a few hundred on it, so it was still technically my boyfriend's car. anyway, it happened around 12:30 on monday morning. here's one of the kickers: my boyfriend had installed a nice alarm on it, but his friend managed to ruin it and never fixed it. here's the second kicker: the car had one flat, and the wheels all had locking lugnuts. it was either tuesday or wednesday when the cops recovered it about 50 blocks south of where it was stolen. the wheels had been ripped off and the car was just sitting on the ground. they didn't take anything from the interior, except some gauges they managed to destroy while trying to remove them. cd player still there, all the guy's belongings. for those of you who don't know, my sister's 96 integra gsr was stolen last february, and yes, i'm still extremely bitter about it.
here's another funny thing...there's a website for a salvage yard located here in colorado:
www.klode.com; every once in a while i will search their inventory for integras, and the majority of them are all the last gen gsrs and special editions. and most of them have many things in common...no broken windows, front seats stolen, tranny gone (usually manuals), engine gone, and the steering column ripped out to hotwire. you would think the police would start to catch on to it...
anyway, i just had to rant about that. guess it's almost impossible to ever have anything nice these days.
