Blasphemy! You might be able to beat me in drag (or could you...), but I could probably take you in autocross.

Edit: Oh and you can kinda see my civic in the mini's reflection. It's white now, but it'll be black in a few days...

Is that an S? I've only driven one of those, and they do handle damn good. I do think a civic with $400 into the suspension could probably outhandle one (someone should test that...). I love those cars though... except for the speedo...

oh i have the 400 beat. and the new season starts in a couple of months. so im gonna need to practice, but we'll see.

PS, though im on the cusp of 14s (havent run it since the new swap, and dont want to get my hopes too high.) its not a drag car. i built it for auto-x. my project for the first of the season, is a dedicated set of track tires and wheels. nothing too fancy, all street legal, but thats been holding me back for awhile now. ive just always used my street tires. so we'll really have to see.

All you guys who said you could take me, what car/engine mods do you have anyway? I think you are highly underestimating the mini. Don't let the 170 hp (it's around that) rating fool you. The mini has the whole power to weight ratio thing goin for it, so it feels like you've got a lot more horsepower. Plus, once I get the John Cooper Works tuning kit, I'll have over 200 hp and we won't need to have this discussion...[sm=burnout.gif]

I've got no beef with the P/W ratio of the Mini... almost unmatched for a daily grinder (unless you get into the realm of Elises, 340R's, and other such pocket rockets). But I'm talking about 330 hp (approximated; haven't dynoed, but the boost is up) in a 2800 lb. car...

The engine is bone stock, and the only other things on the car are the Tokico HP's and H&R 2" drops that came on it. I have added a turbo timer (for obvious reasons).

Man, I really need to find someone with a Mini to race...

Most likely the mini couldnt beat that, but i wouldn't be far behind. One of my friends has an '05 mustang gt v8. I think it's got like 300 hp 330 tq or something like that, but anyways, he thought he could blaze the crap out of the mini, but i actually kept up with him pretty good. Of course, i may have done a couple of things to the engine that i haven't told him about.....
