Default Raced a BUICK.

Today I raced some one I know who drives a 1991 Buick LaSabre with a 3.8l v6. I raced him once before, when I had nothing done and he killed me. Today I was going to town, and I could see a car gaining on me quick. Sure enough I could tell it was him. Before he even got right behind me, I droped it in third and hammered the gas. We seemed to be even, then I pulled away for a sec. There was a car infront of him, he got behind me untill he passed the car. Then again, I droped it in third and hammered the gas, and he casually walked me. I gave up after he was a couple of carlengths infront of me. So even with my mods I still got killed like I had no mods lol. Today I lost to a buick, I feel like crap, should I be?

Lol, yea I hear ya losin once in a while but to a Buick, good God. Well, it wasnt a GNX car for sure, I belive its a Lasabre, 3.8l v-6, and the car is actually quite small. Its not the big ass car you'de be assosiating most buicks with, its pretty small, and damn, it hauls. Im looking at it this way, his motor is over twice the displacement of mine. Soon as I get my snail installed, Im gonna offer him a race without telling him about it lol. Im cruel.........

Heres the car. I found it on ebay, its not his car, but the same model. Its got the 3800 motor, and its a relatively small car.

I would stop racing people if that thing out ran you. Not trying to be mean but it is my opinion.

Those things can haul ass pretty well. I used to own a '91 Regal GS Coupe with a 3.8L Series I 3800 V6, with 170 HP and 225 lbs of torque stock, the same motor as in the LeSabre. Best 1/4 mile I had with it (g-tech) was 16.18 sec at 88.5 mph, faster than my Civic, and this thing was just over 3000 lbs.

that car was the basis for the Grand Nationals, GNXs and T-Types, which were all turbo-charged cars.

the v-6 in the base model was 3.8 liters and pretty stoudt. still, it was a family car. lol.
