Going to put a PnP Z6 head on my Y8. Have the head and a Y8 stage 1 cam and was wondering what would be more of an advantage. Getting a new IM (either skunk2 or Z6 PnP) and Tb, or putting titanium valve springs and retainers in? Also would it be good to have a cam gear with this setup or would i be o.k.?

i would do a skink 2 intake and throttle body, alls what the valtrain stuff is gonna do is let the engine rap out higher and depending on your set up your gonna get more from a intake and throttle body unless you are forced induction
I can vouch for the skunk2 IM and TB, and im 99% sure y8 cam will fit z6 head, but if your gettin springs and retainers why not go to a stage 2 cam, with that and IM/TB set up you will see some sweet gains.

The y8 cam better fit in the z6 head!!! I agree with what all of you said but just something hearing your engine sing past the redline mark. Can a S2k throttle body fit on the skunk2 Im? I think it would but i thought i would ask the experts! What mm is a stock b16 TB?

And like Nails said, yes the y8 cam will fit in the z6 head. What's the powerband on that cam? If it makes power till 8000 or better, then maybe you should go with the valvetrain stuff, but if it's not gonna make any power over (or near) 7200rpm, go with the IM and TB.
I seriously doubt an S2000 TB will fit a D16. Look for an integra one. It's 60mm and it'll bolt right up.
im not sure if this is exactly right, but if you take a d16b7 block, d16y8 head, d16a3 pistons, and d15z1 pistons and you will get a crazy 17.4:1 compression ratio. its more like 17:1 with the z6 head.
anyways...moral of the story...all d series parts are interchangeable. thats a good general rule of thumb when it comes to building Ds.
I doubt the cam will make power past 7500rpm. I like the idea of the IM and TB. Would i have to a fuel upgrades with this setup? Would a fuel pressure regulator do the trick? Would any bottom end mods be necessary, like new rings or rods?
