I had to take out the battery for my 7th gen... I have projectors and they arent twist on/off type... there is a stupid latch that you have to do and the battery and the fluid things on the other side had to be pulled back as well.

yeah i went through two sets of silverstars in the past year and a half.  i am never gonna buy those pieces of crap again.  if you dont have the money for HIDs buy the hella bulbs they are the same price and more reliable.  the problem with the silverstars is that one goes out and then about a week later the other one will go too.  waste of money!!!

i had the silverstar ultras for about 5 months. They never dimmed, or went out on me. They did look better than the stock halogen bulbs. Now I have switched to HID and I will enver considering going to halogen again. I have the 6000K. They are super white, with a nice tint of blue. I got my fogs on too. I light up the road

If you don't want HID and don't want to replace your bulbs for a LONG LONG LONG time buy SilverStars.  I think you are all crazy personally; they are the perfect color temp, and they will last 3 or 4 times longer than those el cheapo non-HID ricer bulbs, and even dim more slowly doing it!

I bought a set for my previous vehicle and also added them to the AUX offroading lights I eventually added, used to go wheelin with friends and my truck ALWAYS had the brightest lights by a noticeable maragin.  Its not that they are brighter than other bulbs when both types are new (per the law), you just don't realize how quickly other bulbs dim over time and silverstars don't.
