my dad got hypnotized to quit cigs. It worked. He can't stand their smell. But he soon found these things called "cigars" that didn't effect him, so he smokes them now. True story.

haha wow. though i don't know if that would be right for me considering many people i hang out with smoke. i wouldn't want to be the dick that makes them put it out just because i can't stand the smell

We talked about this one day in auto class cause we have a couple smokers. Nicotene only stays in your system for three days. SO if you stop smoking today, in three days there will no longer be a physical addiction to nicotene. The only addiction that will remain is a mental one. I've never had to quit smoking because i never started, but it seems like its all about will power. And i've heard cold turkey is the best way because the patches only keep the nicotene in your system longer. It always helps when you can't afford to smoke (like me) or your parents will beat your ass (also like me)

spoken like a true non-smoker(no offense). though it seems logical, its not the case. the physical addiction to nicotine is stronger than that of heroin. i know people that have had better luck quitting coke than cigarettes.

My teacher did smoke for a long time, and he quit cold turkey. And those words were spoken by him, not myself.

man, good for him then. he's pretty lucky. i've only been smoking about a year and a half and i tried quitting for a week. by the end of the week i was still having pretty harsh physical withdrawls and cravings.
