Default Engine Specs D17???

I had a website I could go to and find everything out about a engine and that car all honda and acura stuff, cant find it no more though. Anyway, my friend bought a 02 civic DX 2 door. It is slow as crap, and has a D17, He swears he is fast, I think its cause it has a muffler and intake, not to forget dragon logo seat covers from wal-mart. So what kinda power we lookin at and is it vtec, I saw a vtec sensor but dont really hear it kick in for crap.

not on a d17. its not compatable. the computer would freak out. the d17 has a DIS, and the Y8 doesnt, so i doubt it would be the bolt-on affair the Y8-Y7 swap is. and its his buddies anyway, he has a Y8. (look at the sig)

no, the new d series isnt as compatible as the rest. ill go check the head gasket patterns when i get a chance, but that is one minor detail of the swap.

oh ok. makes more sense now. but yeah, im pretty sure the 01+ stuff doesnt work in case anyone was wondering. but ill try to find out if the actual swap is possible, let alone getting it to run.
