Default Cold Air Intake

if i want to get a cold air intake....do i need to get anything else in order for it to properly work? cause a buddy of mine mentioned that i would need something else (forgot what he said) but i never heard of needing anything else to go along with it. am i missing something?

you mean brand....either AEM or Injen.....as far as intake...i'd like to get a cold air...unless people can give me some reasons not to. what do you think?

the normal intake isnt a pipe. its a box. and the box is one big filter.

where do you live?
