Default Raced some kind of old integra

looked like a 1990ish model, lowered, stock wheels, yellow headlights, and a big wing. He revved up on me at a light, I took it easy off the line, shifting a 2000 so he beat me pretty good. I knew we'd get stopped at 2-3 more lights along this stretch of road. Next light I again took it easy off the line so he had about a car on me, and at about 25-30 I decided to hit it, getting horrible wheelspin and getting quite sideways as I blew by him. Sure enough we got stopped at the next light, I revved up on him about 5 times but he never looked at me or revved back. My girlfriend in the passenger seat got a good kick.

with 350 rwhp, your car would need to weigh around 3000lbs to run around 12 flat at 113mph..

i woudl like to know what cam, you have...and possibly some more exact power numbers, how you came to those numbers, and timeslips to show the 12.00@113..

thanks!

CC306
adv 290/307 at 112 lsa
230/244 .544/.576

With full bolt ons and a dyno tune they make 350+ rwhp routinely, the tune that is on my car is a dyno tune of another CC306 car with the same mods, but still probably gives up 5 hp or so. I've seen dynographs in the 360s with a scary lean AF.

Where do you get your calculations that I cannot run a a 12.2-12.3 with ET Streets and a good (1.6ish)? In good air (-1000DA) a guy trapped 115.xx with the same mods. No I have no timeslips, but my car is running a proven set-up, low miles, and is in very good tune. Even if I only trapped 110 (which I will not), with good traction that = low 12s. I have very good air (near 0 DA). I think with 350 fwhp my car would have to weigh 3000, no?

That's why I put ESTIMATED there by the power numbers and track time. It is not proven! I haven't been able to make it out to the track with my new combo, I've been to busy working and going to school. But can you prove that my car is NOT making that power when I have everything that has been proven many times before to make the kind of power I estimate?

Patrick I've read some of your posts, you're very knowlegeable, and I respect you as well as many others on this site. I have no problems with serious imports, or honda civics. But like most of you, I hate "ricers" like the one I trounced on the street. I haven't seen many quick civics at the strip with huge wings and big wheels, lowered with body kit, etc. That's where I'm coming from, and I know there's probably several guys on this site who could beat me. At least they're not ricers...

295 isn't almost as much as 350+

real men don't race from rolls, just some ignorant fools like you who can't launch with some decent power.

if you didn't read my follow-up post, i said that I do indeed have respect for real car enthusiasts, no matter how many cylinders they have. heck I would probably use your car as a daily driver, but I wouldn't go around tootin' some "you must have a smaller penis than me because you have a bigger motor" horn. get real kid. if you think driving around a stock looking ex that only races on the freeway earns respect from me you're wrong. if you were in socal we'd go to a track and settle this matter to see who the real man is, hmmm mid 12s on slicks with a good driver? we'll see kid, hope your penis doesn't get in the way of your shifting.

ported heads and spray are 6 weeks away, hope you're ready for the mid 11s and 120+ traps allstock

for patrick who's mature and educated...
I'm throwing on LE3 heads, maybe with matching cam not sure if i want to take my motor apart again, and a 100 shot

What were you running stock. I have a 94 Formula M6 and last spring I pulled a 13.6 on a cool night and I am basicly stock other than a cat back and a K/N FIPK. I have a new clutch now and can not wait for the strip to open back up.

i got my car with the FIPK and a flowmaster catback, 1/8 mile I could only due 9.0 at 80 mph due to bald 275 kdws (2.1x short), failing opti and wires, and failing fuel pump. haha stupid excuses I shoudn't even have been racing with my car like that. 13.6 with catback and intake is impressive, allstock could learn from driving like that I'm working waaay to much and have school on thursday nights so I can't hit my local 1/8 mile track until summertime, and California Speedway's 1/4 mile has the crappiest track prep you might as well just run on the street and save 20 bucks and sitting in the staging lanes all day.

Finally my car has all the bugs out of it... except I fried my pcm last week trying to add some timing at idle to gimme some more vacuum, bump your laptop=$200 pcm

I am thinking I may throw a set of 4:10's in and do the LT4 conversion minus the LT4 cam. The car now has 108,000 miles on it and shows no signs of wear but I am a bit sketchy about doing any kind of build or upgrades on the stock bottom end. I may get me a fresh LT1 in the future to do a slight build on. I am not at all interested in totally building it up but would like to be in the 12's without hurting it's civil nature.
