was up y guys i need help. I'm going to race a 89 honda civic with these modsPERFORMANCE

DPFI to MPFI Conversion
DOHC ZC swap
OBX 4-2-1 header
Bomz high flow cat
2 1/2 in. cat-back
Powertech muffler
AEM cold air intake
Nology power core
B&M fuel pressure regulator
B&M fuel pressure gauge
NGK irdium plugs
Prothane motor mounts
Energey Suspension Shifter Bushings
Otto racing short shifter

And i have a 97 honda civic ex 5 speed and i have i/e/h will i have a chances to bet this guy? if not what do i need to do to make my car faster we are racing for 50 dallors and respect i need help fast. Is their and tips on take off or anything. I have intill the summer to race him thanks u guys

At this point, he's got the advantage (DOHC, a little more hp, and a lighter car).

A turbo or a motor swap is where I would go. The Y8 is a good turbo motor already...

dude i'm only 16 i need little bolt-ons come on or little home made bolt ons i only have about 250

You can do some things drivetrain-wise to get better power delivery (shop around for a lightened flywheel...) That should give you a noticeable difference. But other than that, $250 won't go very far...

You're only gona be able to afford like 1, maybe 2 bolt ons with $250. And even then, they aren't gona give you enough power to beat him.

ive got three words that are your only hope.

USED NITROUS KIT.

it sounds like thats your only choice at this point. or losing. but thats a crappy choice. check ebay. and keep it off the streets. oh, and its not that great of a long term mod, so dont plan on keeping it for a long time, just race him and get rid of it. then save the money you would spend to keep getting it filled and get a turbo kit down the road.
