Default 1999 EX.....what to do, what to do...

I have a 99 EX 5 speed. I am in the process of doing a few basic mods to improve performance without emptying my wallet. I ended up changing my fuel filter right after i got the car because it hesitated when i would accelerate, this fixed the problem but i disconnected the battery(something i always do when i mess with fuel system or electrical systems) and it reset my factory CD player. And since i bought the car used i dont have the code anywhere, and the dealer isnt a honda dealership and they dont have it. How do i go about removing the CD player to get the serial number off it to call a honda dealer and get the anti-theft code? I tried once to take some panels off but nothing seemed to get me to the stereo. plus is anyone selling and under the hood mod parts used for cheap?? intake...anything...

dang that sucks about the radio. if the owners manual came with the car, the code should be in there.

think about it for a second... its an anti-theft measure. Do you think they would print anything on the stereo itself that you could just pick up the phone and get the code. Dont waste your time, just get an aftermarket deck. They come very cheap now-a-days if you dont want anything fancy.

Ture you can drop maybe a few hundred pounds by losing everything like back seats passenger seat, sound inslation. But if you want to keep it as a daily driver it wont look as pretty. And it will only save you a few 1/10 in a 1/4 mile.

they dont print it in the manual, but people write it in there alot. not smart, but common.

are you sure? i could have sworn it was in my odyssey's manual. that does seem kinda stupid to put it in there though. any theif could just rip out the radio and get the code out of the car.
