Not too thrilled with sound system
 

I just purchased a 2006 Honda Civic XL and I am very pleased but expected better sound quality from the high end stereo system. I was wondering how I could improve the sound without spending alot of dough.

basically, new speakers all around would be the best upgrade. Alpine and infinity make nice mid-grade speakers that are way better than the stock crap honda puts in its cars.

i was just thinking the type s, they are a lot cheaper than the type r, but type r's are every civic lovers dream come true

for clean sound I would slap in some good ole Mb Quarts. However, they are ONLY at their best when behind an external amp.

mb quart seperates the best i ever heard and an external amp is going to be needed for any good stereo system
