It had a straight cut 5 speed gear box and loads of other race/fast road mods on the engine and suspension, I spent thousand of pounds on it and rebuilt the engine several times but after breaking down five times in one day I decided enough was enough and I should get a more reliable car. iNTRuDeR 05-24-2004, 10:25 AM My first car was a bike, an old Yamaha, after that I bought a VW bus, way cool for school and after . . . but that was a long time ago. Chimera02EX 07-28-2005, 11:34 PM '96 Jeep Cherokee 5 speed with an I6. got it with 27k on it off my parents drove it till I totaled it at 73k. Put a double tubular steel bumper from a '82 bronco on it have to have a guy custom weld mounts. was mounted right to the frame. What a beast. God I miss that Jeep. Then a '98 Jeep Cherokee still have it needs a bit of work gonna fix it before winter. gunmetal 07-28-2005, 11:41 PM I drove a slammed 1984 Toyota Tercel wagon and it was dope. Tore the 5 speed out of it and could only find a 4 speed to put in it. Then the headgasket blew. Had it fixed and traded it for an 87 MR2. That was a fun car to drive. krasnyoktyabr 07-31-2005, 12:44 PM Well I got a 1972 Ford LTD Braugham for free, the guy had like 6 cars that wern't road legal and needed to get rid of it. Me and my cousin were going to fix it up, get the quarter panels replaced, replace the battery, starter, and altinator- lots of fun ****. Had only 66k miles on it, big ass car, got it running once and oh my god was it fun- ran out of gas after about 40 feet. Thank god it was in the yard. Sold it to a guy up north for $100 when we realised we just didn't have the money or the time to get it running right. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v389/JVoorhees/MVC2D709F.jpg My current car, a 1986 Ford Crown Victoria cost me a total of $750 with 72k miles on it. I've put in a couple hundred more for minor parts and new tires, but she runs great, never had any major problems- lots of fun to burn old tires with. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v67/KrasnyOktyabr/MVC-282F.jpg Almost added a 1984 Crown Victoria to my stable, but I ended up having to spend the $800 on other things, sucks too- the car was about mint with only 36k miles on it. visualpoet 08-01-2005, 02:54 PM Hmmm... In the 20 years I've been driving, I've had: 70 LeMans with some mods - she'd run 11's with the dual predators and the edelbrock. Not the ideal car to give a 17 year old kid! [sm=smiley35.gif] shellebelle 09-08-2005, 12:10 AM The first car I had for *continuous use* was a POS 1990 Chrysler LeBaron GTC (I think) convertible. We still have it. I'd just slink down in my seat when I was driving near my high school. It's okay power-wise, but it smells and drives like a boot. I hate it. Fortunately, I only drove that thing for a year. I got my Civic 7/28/01 and have been happy ever since. gsumano 09-08-2005, 12:22 AM my first car its my civic, two years of hard work at togo's to buy it. :) local://upfiles/3158/1B73936F96EB486AA5F23681CB3A3E1D.jpg Marty 09-08-2005, 02:48 AM http://www.superhonda.com/photopost/data/519/caddy2.JPG http://www.superhonda.com/photopost/data/519/caddy.JPG doze_and_drive 09-08-2005, 06:26 AM My grandpa's 1992 Oldsmobile 98 with 170 MaD horses...too bad it weighed like 80,000 pounds. trickyvick 10-02-2005, 12:38 AM a 1975 Datsun 710.....2 door coupe.....I totaled it in 3 weeks. mill$civic 10-02-2005, 08:30 PM i had a 94 pontiac sunbird..bought it for like $2,500 (canadian) and it lasted for a year then after that is start breaking down, blowhead gaskit, one thing after another,i sold it about exactley a year later for $500 ..loved that thing when i first got it[sm=smiley19.gif] local://upfiles/2140/17093DAE51064664B71D96BEEDA2B855.jpg local://upfiles/2140/50D2A1A35DE34AD3BE1C209AD5FFEEF3.jpg local://upfiles/2140/9B909200111A423890D42BAF703C9A67.jpg amg6975 10-02-2005, 08:40 PM 99 Civic EX... 20,000 miles.:) We've been though four years and 45,000+ miles. Actually, I lied... I forgot I had a green 98 four door ex. This only worked out for a couple months then someone felt it was necessary to ram it going 50 mph. I like my 99 coupe much better so it works out. headshok2002 10-03-2005, 12:24 AM 85 vette... saved money all through high school for university... then decided to take time off... and *cough* invest the money into cars. I don't even "rock a civic" yet... Right now I drive a 90 Dodge Dakota..... they're both good trucks, reliable... but neither are good enough on gas for me....which is why I wanna get a civic. And the fact that they're reliable as hell.. and look good, etc., I wanted to get a civic since I realized I couldn't afford to drive the Bronco everyday back and forth to school. I remember going to cardomain and screwin around... that's when I fell in love with the 4 gen civics... some time between then and now I changed my mind to a 5th or 6th gen... i dunno why... lol. se7ensectoolate 10-06-2005, 01:32 AM I used to have a teal 94 Accord. All show, not one bit of go. It just didn't pull in the girls, so I bought the Civic. Wait, my cars still don't pull in the girls.
