86 Honda CRX SI
 

Hey guys i am new but bare. Ok so i bought a 1986 Honda CRX SI. I dont know much about the car but i do know its a nice sports car. Im not great at imports but big dad on american cars. I have a few questions thought about this car. I want to know what i should do with the engine i have or get another engine. The motor in it now is a EW4 1.5 8V SOHC PGM-FI 1488. Do you guys know any motor that would fit in this car with out a hassle? OR is there some nice beefing i can do to this motor i have now. Where would i get some nice but affordable parts for this car? The motor i just classifed ( EW4 ) is that a d15 if so what series is that?

really all you have to work with is that engine. others can be put it with work though. these engines from what i have seen hold up fairly well to boost. theres a guy at our local track running 9 flats on the 8th with just a home made turbo set up. on top of that hes using a boost sensitive pressure regulator. now im not sure if you can step up to the carbed accord motor(unsure if the manifolds fit) but i have installed a carbed accord motor into my old 83 civic hatch back in the day.
