Default 01 EX vs Saturn Ion

Curious my friend just got an 06 saturn ion (cuz honda couldnt find him a new civic *dont ask*) and i was wondering how muhc do i need to beat him? I have an EX with AEM v2, EVO2, Exedy STage 1, ACT flywheel, revo short shifter, 17" rims (slow). He's puttin out 145 tq and 140 hp stock DOHC. My stock wieght is 2553 vs 2796 for him. Both of us 5 speed.

It's a drivers race now. The cars are about the same as far as performance stats stock vs stock so with your mods I say you can take him.

the ions have no real performance out of the engine the gearing is too long and sloppy feeling. the clutch has no pedal feel at all. just a commuter s*** box. but i do say it will be a close race

yeah i drove it today it had really long gear ratios, but did feel torqier than the civic. at about 4500 rpm tho i think the civic pulls much harder. not a lot of throttle response on the ion either. ill be racing him tomorow, let u all know how it goes (keepin it off public roads and safe)
Laterz,
Shane
