Use Eagle One Never-Dull Wadding polish. You can get it at Advanced Auto Parts and other stores.

The car is probably running too rich... Meaning the fuel mixture is not adjusted properly. Iff you are not familiar with carbs let a shop tune it. Hope this helps.

Any number of things.. Fuel filter, plugs, EGR valve, dirty injectors, or dirty intake manifold... Is the check engine light on?

That would be plugs, rotor, distributor cap, fuel filter, ignition wires, air filter and cabin filter. Did I miss anything?

Paint over the rust with POR15 and then topcoat with the appropriate paint color. I use the stuff on my cars and bikes and love it.

It won't work miracles or work on any area that has really thick metal, but I have used mine on my friends Alpha...
