2006 Civic: Cup holders get hot...a fix.

Some of us have had an issue with a seperated heating-duct joint in the 2006 Civics. This failed heater duct joint is under the front part of the shifter console/storage bin. Several have mentioned...

RE: FYI - Gas mileage - 06 w/ Automatic

2006 Civic, LX sedan, automatic.

Have 3,200 miles on odometer. All "city" driving, which in my case means commuting on two-lane roads, and "in town" driving at speeds usually not exceeding 50...

RE: '06 handling problem?

The new Civic also seem to wander a bit more than normal, as if it is out of alignment (steering wheel is straight).

For your issue of wandering, which is different than my issue with...

RE: '06 handling problem?

I'd agree that under certain, specific circumstances, the steering in my ‘06 LX (auto) sedan is, how can I describe it? Squirrelly...yea, that's it. For example, one time when I accelerated the '06...

2006 Civic door-sill covers...

There's a thread on another Civic site (TOV) that was started by someone who had some custom vinyl (2006) Civic Si door-sill covers made for his car. There was a pretty-huge response to his post. Now...

2006 LX sedan: SVC works with AUX input

I've used the car stereo "auxiliary audio input jack" in my 2006 Civic LX sedan with an MP3 player, and with a satellite radio receiver. While I could hear the "speed-sensitive volume control" (SVC)...

RE: Honda video of 2006 iVTEC 1.8L engine

Well, I tend to keep my cars for 10 years. And, in 10 years, I hope to be retired, and will likely want a "fun" car like an Si. But for the work-a-day world I'm in now, an Si is just not practical...

New review of the 1.8L sedan (and in Malaysia the 2.0L sedan)

Nice write-up.

RE: Satellite radio install using aux. input jack ('06 sedan)

The Sirius satellite radio antenna is mounted on the trunk deck lid.
Not permanent yet--still thinking about having it painted to match the car color.

RE: Need Opinion On Civic Hatchbak 1996

Hi,

Back in Feb. I traded in the exact smae car, but with 160,000 miles on it (to get my '06 Civic). The "trade-in value" on that car was $1,300, so your price seems reasonable.

As for what...

RE: Satellite radio install using aux. input jack ('06 sedan)

Hi phoenix_gtr,
I did look at several mounting locations, and the one I used just seemed the best for me. [8D]

Reasons it's mounted down low: One is I did not want the unit to become a...

Satellite radio install using aux. input jack ('06 sedan)

Hi,

Here's a couple of pictures of the satellite radio install I did in my 2006 Civic (LX) sedan:

The satellite radio takes...

RE: Newbie service question

If you ask your dealerships service folks for a list of service items for your 2006 Civic, they can give you one. Then, ask what they charge for each itme on that list.

The list I got was not by...

RE: aux input

The "auxilliary audio input" jack is standard in the '06 coupes, not the '06 sedans. In a coupe, look just under the 12-volt power outlet and you should see the aux. audio input jack right there.

RE: buy another one?

Gee..the Kelly Blue Book--but as a trade-in--on my 1996 hatchback, which was in "good" condition, with 160,000 miles, came up as $1,300. His is one year newer, but 6K sounds high.

2006 Si: Someone's made a formal complaint...

First, let me say that I've no agenda regarding this issue, and don't even own an '06 Si (I own an '06 Civic LX sedan). So what I'm posting is "just the facts" while remining totally netural.

A "must read" for all '06 Civic sedan owners!

So in the U.K. it sells for $18,000 (UK L)

In U.S. dollars, that's $31,458.60

Nice looking car--wish they'd bring it over to the good old US of A!

2006 Civic EX alloy wheels-take offs?

Forgive me if this is the wrong place for this:

Somewhere out there on the Internet, I saw a dealer that had '06 Civic EX alloy's that were "take offs" of new cars, and they were selling them....
