Default Boost a D15A2, bad idea?

I've posted this on various forums, just seeing what different people's input is. I've got 180k on the clock, but am getting ready to do a full tune up with new gaskets, various oil seals, and a new OEM clutch. I haven't done a compression test yet, but if the cylinders are past 5%ish of each other, that answers my question . I'm just looking for a little more power for scooting around town. Won't be going to the track, the most extreme situation would be some highway driving. Would a S-AFC be ok for me to use with my applicaton? What's the max boost that I should not go past? I know the D15 has weaker internals than the D16, so I would imagine 3-5psi max? Everything will be stock except for an exhaust and maybe a Skunk 2 cam gear.

Default RE: Boost a D15B2, bad idea?

I made a mistake, I have a D15B2 not a D15A2. My motor has only the two fuel injectors on top. Would an OEM honda headgasket be ok? I don't think I would run more than 5psi. I looked into chipping my ECU, but it is very confusing to me. How exactly is my ecu chipped and how do I run a program like TurboEdit, chrome, or uber?

since your car is dpfi (dual ponit fuel injection) you need to convert it to mpfi (multi point) to get more power and a tunable ecu to work with. when you do that you could boost fine up to 7 psi with a good tune, intercooler, and good gas.

yeah so basicly just convert to obd1 lot of tuning options and power can be made rather than obd0
