HID: High Intensity Discharge. These are bulbs, ballasts and starters that use noble gasses to emit light instead of solid filliment. The result is a more pure blue light that requires less power. The temperature (color) of the light is measured in Kelvins, the lower you go the closer to red you get, the higher you go the closer to violet you get (remember ROYGBIV?) Around 4500K is where maximum light output occurs.

JDM: Japanese Domestic Market. Parts imported from Japan.

Lip Kit: A kit similar to a body kit that attaches to your stock body panels instead of replacing them. Generally they're much smaller than body kits and attach to the front and rear bumper and side skirts.

Side Skirts: The lowest little panel on the sides under the doors.
