Hey first post here. Lurking for a while. But last night's beating makes me post finally. I have a 92 bubble with a GSR swap and some other things. I run 14.1 in the 1/4.

Over on rt 18 in NJ around 1am I was just driving home and came to a light. This black Buick rolls next to me and gives a few quick revs. I was like what the heck I'll go. Never raced a buick, guess cuz old people hate to race :D. Guy was young anyway. So I give him a rev back. I get my revs up, light green, and we go. I get out in front off the launch. Then after 20 mph the Buick just screams past me like nothing... by 80 when I decided I'm not gonna get near him he was about 5 cars ahead at least and still pulling.. What did I get beat by? anyone? anyone? Bueller? Lost him at the next red light he made it I didn't. Would liked to of talked to him.

What I got. It was black with like a gray bottom, dual exhaust, I think FWD (saw em spin up front when we raced), had no emblems on it cept a chrome buick on the rear bumper and a GS on the tail light.

Help?[sm=headbang.gif]

I was gonna say you got your azz handed to you by a Buick Grand National until you said FWD. My uncle has a Buick regal with a Silver bottom and dual exhaust but it is like a 1985 with 500,000kms and is quite the dog, so it wasn't him anyway.

I got wasted by a modified Grand National with trans brake once. He was 4 car lengths ahead by the time I reached the other side of the intersection.:( Best launching car I've ever seen on the street. Gotta love the GNX.

Look up buick models on Google and see what you find.

I know what a GNX is lol I'd be really hesitent to run one of those beasts. It was late model. I'm not having much luck finding good info. Or I'm to retarded right now to function LOL.

Here's some advice on finding the car. Go to ebay, and go in to Buick section. On the side it will a have a list of all the cars buick makes/made, and just go down one by one till you find it.

I would say it was a Buick Regal GSX

Is this the car? (http://videos.streetfire.net/search/Buick/1/1C265567-BC26-4897-985B-700AE64F8F51.htm)

Yea they are a good sleeper, they actually take very well to mods and are not hard at all to get into the 13's.

Supercharged 3.8L V6....all it takes it a pulley to get it to 300 to the wheels.......no shock to loose to him.

Y'know, I had to laugh when I saw a commerical for the Buick Lucerne today. Those puppies have a V8 and I'll betcha the needle will never see 60 on most of them.

I remeber my mom rented a 4 door alero, (pos) and I pulled up to this old man in his 70's in a buick and I revved on him and took off from the light just to make my friend laugh, well at the next light when it turned green, the old man boned out, chirping the tires! My friend and I almost died from laughing.:D:D:D

they are pretty quick my friends dad has one my friend got to drive it before he got a car... i think this is the second story like this i have heard, someone beaten by a buick wondering what it was. i guess buicks are quick it just all depends on the driver.

MY step dad and grandmother have Buick Roadmasters... those things will move. After all, they have vette engines in them :D

some older buicks have LT1s, and the newer performance minded buicks have the supercharged 3800S2...stock, it is only a mid to low 15 second vehicle when stock, but it can be fitted with the same aftermarket parts as the grand prix GTPs...so they have decent potential for a big sedan...i have seen a few at the track, with little done, in the high 14s, but ive also seen some, stock, in the mid to high 15s...if a late model regal GS walked you, it was built. they are only 240hp/280tq stock, and they are heavy, weighing around 3600lbs

however, ive seen a buick roadmaster with an LS1 swap, and it moved...i believe that it was in the low 13s...
