I've got a 92 hatchback ciivic with a turbo and Iwas dricing arounmd and then this pontiac something pulled up nexct to m,e and threw a rev. so we get to next light and im revvin withj my turbo spooling and this car lights em up and takes off faster than any sti or any **** I ever seen... wtf I lost by buslengths. my tune must of been messed up or somethin cuz Ive killed lots of cars before no problems but this pntiac with some hood scoops just beat me so bad! think i need a tune or whats wrong!?@

Perhaps it was a GTP? I got smoked by one in my accord (which I should have of course... I deserved to loose I was just harrasing my GF....) watch out for those Supercharged Grand Prix's... the GTP is mean... Here's a qutoe from Motor Trend Magazine

I just checked out pontiac.com and I think it was a gto... wtf is this first time ive ever heard of it?

GTO = 400 hp! Ugly grand am look-a-like car but I wouldn't kick it out f my garage ;)

couldve been a Bonneville GXP. those things are pretty quick. mid-high 14s stock.

put in some rods and pistons and some new fuel injectors and a tune and you might be able to stick with it from a roll and posibly from a stop

They run 13's stock....not sure what your thinkin.....or he is the worst driver ever.

The LS2's are decent, at under 5 0-60 and mid to low 13's, but the LS1's aren't anything to write home about.

They make sick power w/ a 88mm turbo though....know a guy that is running 1018 WHP and 1080 Wtq on a 6.0 LS1 and 88 mm turbo and 93 octane w/ small methanol injection.....03 silverado that runs very low 10's.....if not high 9's....not sure.

Yeah, dyno queens are fun... for about five minutes. ;) I guess everyone has their thing though. I was running high 12's with less than 400 rwhp that was actually driveable.

It is drivable...he drives it to most races and swaps the drag radials when he gets there......and it is all totally coputer controllable...he can turn down the boost w/ a turn of a knob.....from ~25 to 6 if he wants....Eventhough he'll still have like ~480 HP at 6 psi

I mean driveable like autocross or circuit racing... :D

he probably was a crappy driver if not he would be doin it for a livin not on friday grudge nights in hicktown pa. he would have smoked me if it was a 1/2 mile race. trust me im no pro either..plus the hicktown races we go to are suppousedly off. plus i should be runnin quicker then mid 15's too but i smoked first and second and chirped third. go me 2nd time runnin. u got to remember its amateurs racing not pro's and i talked to the guy before we raced and i know what im thinkin

plus car and driver tested it at 14 second 1/4 so yea i could see amateur runnin high 15's

A hatch with a turbo huh? Please be more specific. i.e. I drive a coupe with a turbo. I have a SOHC Vtec with a full greddy kit at 8 psi.

which (sorry pete :D) probably wouldnt take a GTO.

I wouldn't talk too much smack on the GTO. They're pretty feirce. My father-in-law has one and when I ride in the car with him and he floors it, I feel all of my organs move and my chest compresses. I mean, it's a 400hp, V8 that makes 0-60 in 5 sec. Slow?
To tell you the truth, even though I'm socking money away for an 06 EX, if somebody handed me a GTO, I'd be just as happy....
Well, at least until I had to put any cargo/passangers in it or fill up the gas tank twice a week...
