allforsrt, do you recall what MChat was putting down with the stock bottom end? i think that he was into the 11.3s or so before it came aprt...

and its not that i dont like allpar...they have alot of useful information, but it seems that alot of people think that allpar is some sort of authority. a while back there was a big fuss because some line worker for DCX said that he heard his boss talking on the phone, and he said that the challenger was a-go...but since it came from allpar, everyone thinks that its written in stone, but allpar is strictly member submission, and a forum, so its no more or less official than any other forum.

i dont know if you saw the press release by the director of the design team for the challenger trashing the sites such as allpar and the srt sites which were reporting that the challenger was ready to begin production. basically he tore into them on firehouse saying that they didnt know what they were talking about, and theyre only spreading hollow rumors.

but those musclecarclub guys have alot of great info about both domestics and imports.

ive not driven an ACR, have you? im curious if you can really feel the difference on a normal drive? ive driven a stock, stage 1 and stage 2 srt4, but no acr...

The clutches are pretty solid, very heavy duty setup with the clutch/trans, SRT (or PVO originally) set it up to be able to handle more power, as they planned on introducing staged upgrade kits from the get-go.

I dont recall what Mchat put down specifically for power, i know it was over 500whp. SRTGURL has 440whp driven daily with over 70k miles on her stock engine.

I have driven an ACR and the difference on a backroad is tremendous, no tire squeel when pushed hard, very solid in the corners. If i had the choice of any SRT-4 it would be the ACR. No question.
