Default Megan Racing Catback for 98 DX

I've been looking into the drift-spec catback exhaust system for my 98 Civic DX. I've heard that I would need a test pipe in order for this exhaust to work on my car. Is this true? Doesn't the test pipe replace my cat converter, making it street illegal?

what you need to do is get a header for the ex and a hi-flow cat. You may need to relocate your second o2 sensor also but it is not a big deal. You can have a exhaust shop put it on with your current dx cat/header-manifold but it will bottle neck the system and the only thing you will get from it is sound not power.

ok, so how much should I be expecting to pay for a new header/cat, and what are some good brands to look at?

Could I get a different exhaust system and not have to upgrade the header and cat or is the DX just cursed [>:]
