I may buy some used 18's with 225/40's. Will they fit my '97 Civic Coupe without rubbing. I don't plan on dropping it in the near future. Thanks for any input.

as long as the total diameter of your stock wheels is the same as your new wheels, they will fit w/o rubbing. as long as your offset is correct.

depending on the offset you should be fine for the most part....you will rub when you crank the wheel ALL the way

If u tell me the tire info for your stockers, i'll let u know what the difference is. (ex. 165/50 15's ???)
