took on 06 eclipse

a buddy of mine bought an 06 ecplise and he wanted to run it being as i didn't get to have the si and he has 20 more hp than me i was skeptical and especially since i have an auto not stick. we did it twice from a rolling start and from the light..needless to say having more hp isn't always better he got me from the rolling start but when we got to the light i was suprised at how much my car beat him off the line vtec nothing compares now i can't wait to see what it will do once i start modifing it...was going to trade it in for the si..but i will just keep the ex

eclipses are porky, but the V-6 models are STOUDT.

did he have a v6 model??? he shoulda gotten you off the line too, if he did.

The 06 eclipse I drove was no slouch. Heavy...yes, but it was very responsive. I would think that it would have no problem walking away from a stock Civic.

the 2006 v6's have something like 260hp stock...

u prolly had him at the light since autos can get quicker starts...

yea he has the 4 160 hp i think it is i drove mine like a stick put down in first and went at him
