if it came with instructions, read them. I could be wrong but ive heard you have to heat the pully in the oven to put it on for like a pressed fit.like i said i heard

No it didn't come with instructions. My buddy Mike and I are gonna install it but we never installed a pulley before and we wanted to see if their was a "special" way of doing it.

This is the pulley I purchased. If it does hurt my engine than well, I suppose I'll chunk it or try to sell it to some idiot rice kid. heh

This is exactly the pulley I was talking about. I'm sure the more knowledgable will correct me if I'm wrong, but the stock pulley acts as a damper, also there's a reason why any of the major aftermarket companies don't make them, but rather make accessory pulleys.

How come AEM makes underdrive pulleys if they hurt your engine?

Cause people will buy them. Just because AEM (or any aftermarket company) slaps thier name on something it doesn't mean its good for your car. Pulleys don't hurt you engine, they will just make your accessories run badly. The pulleys will turn your alternator, PS pump, and A/C compressor slower. This will put out less power out of the alternator and make your PS and A/C not work as well. In return for this inconviniance you will get maybe 5HP. To me, that is not a good deal. Save your money and buy a real mod that gives you some more HP and does not require you to sacrafice the driveablility of your car. I don't think that any of the guys that have really good setups on here are running underdrive pulleys.

Gotcha. I'll be sure to chunck it. I was wondering what I could do give my car mroe power? I already hooked up a 4-1 header, CAI, Apexi N1 Muffler, straight pipe exhaust. Bought a catco universal catalytic converter that I will weld on to the downpipe to legalize. I'm on a budget and unfortunately I have a speeding ticket to pay for now (damn cops) so that'll push me back even further b/c I am trying to save up to buy some strut/shock package to go with my springs.
