RE: New Hatch with full makeover
thats one hell of a shopping list. kinda ambitious to have it all installed in on emonth tho isnt it? i hope you dont have plans.
you're not making much more power over stock with that list...you dont need the brake stuff. put that into shocks and a camber kit. |
RE: New Hatch with full makeover
i already have most stuff from when i was going to be doing the GSR setup before.. but brakes i didnt spend too much money on .. maybe 300 total.. and from what alot of people stated they didnt need camber kit for the tein springs.. and factory struts are pretty decent ride still.. so didnt see a point replacing them .. but does anyone know if i will get a worth while gain if i buy the Apexi and have someone tune it with just bolt ons? .. or will i not even gain 5 hp?

RE: New Hatch with full makeover
Lol.. i was gonna start to do that with the last one .. but you seen what happens :P
Ill be taking alot of pics though while my buddy is doing most of the work.. I know about cars .. but never really worked on them so im basically his gopher.. run around and help where needed.. The audio install is where most of my expertise comes in. I will be building an mdf in floor box myself and making it removeable with approx 6 bolts for the whole amp/sub combined this way when i go to the track i can drop alot of weight.. |
RE: New Hatch with full makeover
i wish i had the money to do that yo my car.:(

strut towers wont do much good unless you have aftermarket shocks. well they will...but they'll help more w/ aftermarket shocks. and (just a personal opinion) id get lower strut bars too before a C-pillar bar.
if i were using stechs id get a camber kit...especially with stock shocks. they drop quite a bit and you will have a lot of negitave camber. its not that much...a skunk2 camber kit wont run more than 500....and you're handling will improve and you wont have to replace or rotate your tires as much. sounds like its going to be an awesome ride. keep us updated as you install stuff. |
