Im not a fan. Its definately the best bang-for-buck out there, but your killing your engine. You need to have some really strong internals to run nitrous without hurting your motor. but, if u are going that road then the Zex kit would be my choice.

You still wont be able to hang with my blower, but u can give it a shot, haha j/k

How big of a shot are u going with??

ANd... its not NOS, its NAAAWZZZZ hahaaha

Nos is cool but i don't think you'll use it as much as you think. I've had a kit in my car for a year and used it 3 times.

im a big nitrous fan. ive ran the zex wet kit 75 shot on a stock block d15 for 8 months and never had a problem. as long as you tune the car right and know when and how to use it you will be alright. nitrous/turbo/sc basically do the same thing by increasing air/fuel in the cyl. but nitrous gives you more tq at the same hp rating of any of the 3. nitrous good for the track but a no go on the street and thats my veiw on it.

I agree with you completely lilol, I am gonna get nitrous probably in july and that will be the end of my performance mods to my civic, then I am gonna try to get it paid off and but an 87 Grand National.

Nitrous is great in my opinion if you want a quick hp gain but don't want to pay a lot. Although I would prefer turbochargers or superchargers over nitrous though just because nitrous is only useful for drag racing.

I dont know enough about it to run it in my car and not be worried about it all the time... plus I've heard too many horror stories, most are probably made up but enough to scare me away. I'd buy it just to purge all day!

Nitrous is safe if you know how to use it properly. I'm not an expert on nitrous but I know few of my friends that likes to drag race has them on their cars & I saw that they have a cut off switch where the nitrous wouldn't spray unless your throttle body is open at full throttle. Nitrous can ruin the motor if you spray it without getting enough fuel.

Another thing you need to check is the compression. Do a compression test before installing nitrous. Make sure the compression is still good.

That throttle switch is good, but when you let your foot up and there's still nos in the intake, guess what's gonna happen when you get on the gas again?

thats not a problem. the intake tube wont just hold a big bunch of nitrous at the ready for the throttle plate to open again. the throttle plate has a small hole in it for air intake during idle, it would slowly feed in through there, and gaseous nitrous oxide, by nature, wont just hang around for long anyways, even if the plate sealed off to the motor, the 800-900 psi of nitrous would push back out through the filter.

Thats what i would have thought too.......but that was before my intake blew.

what do you mean your intake "blew"?

I'm on the juice with one of those throttle switches..i get off of it (traffic)...as soon as the throttle plate opens.....my intake, bypass valve and throttle body decide they wanted to leave. I still have that throttle body around here somewhere. Even the manual with the kit warns about possible damage if nos is present while the plate is closed.

I agree with Ice...a turbo is way better.

Get a turbo. I plan on getting a del sol and make it all motor with nitrous. on my civic i have a alcohol injection kit and its kinda like nitrous. go turbo its a hassle but, in the long run its better. Do it to just hear the blow off valve.:D

6/29/04 to 1/6/06. It's a new record.

And is "with nitrous" considered "all motor?"
