There's a thread on another Civic site (TOV) that was started by someone who had some custom vinyl (2006) Civic Si door-sill covers made for his car. There was a pretty-huge response to his post. Now it looks like he may even get Honda (HMA) to license the product-idea to him, so he can make and market them here.

While reading the above thread, it occurred to me that I'd recently seen official Honda 2006 Civic door-sill covers--on a Honda site--but in Australia. Here's basically what I posted on the TOV site:

It's interesting that Honda already sells these as accessories in Australia ("down under"), but not here in North America!
It drives me
insane wondering why they don't sell these here in North America as well.

Honda Civic Forum fans could also mount a lobbying campaign, asking Honda to sell them here, as, I feel, like all of you seem to, that the 8th generation Civics are
screaming for these!!!

Note that they're available in both light and dark grey.
The text at the bottom of the enlarged pic says: "Applicable for all Civic variants," which down under seems to be all sedans (Civic VTi, Civic VTi-L, and Civic Sport), so even if we could convince Honda to import these to North America, there'd still a marketing oportunity for "Si" door sill covers here, I assume.
